Justin Haley, Kaulig Racing’s full-time NASCAR Cup Series competitor in the No. 31 entry, will run the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway in a fourth entry for the organization.

Haley’s car for the event will be No. 14.

“I’m so excited to have the opportunity to come back to the Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing,” Haley said in a team release. “In a way, it feels like this is my bread and butter, especially at Daytona, one of my favorite tracks. Together, we had three, successful Xfinity Series seasons at Kaulig Racing that transpired into a great first, full season so far in the Cup Series.”

Kaulig Racing revealed the news in a twitter video on Monday afternoon.

Haley, 23, sits 22nd in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series driver standings after 23 events this year. While he has been great in a full-time capacity for the growing team in the NASCAR Cup Series, the organization is very excited to have Haley back in the Xfinity Series for a race.

The Indiana-native has won the Wawa 250 at Daytona in each of the last two seasons. He’ll look to three peat when the Series heads to Daytona in a few weeks.

“We are super excited to have Justin Haley back behind the wheel of a Xfinity car,” said Chris Rice, President of Kaulig Racing. “He has been a big part of how strong our cars have been on superspeedways, and this is a great opportunity for us to show how strong both Chevrolet and Kaulig Racing can be.”

Team owner Matt Kaulig feels that Haley is certainly part of his team’s secret sauce at the superspeedway events.

“Having four of our five wins at superspeedway tracks in the Xfinity Series, there was no question that given an opportunity for a fourth entry, we would bring back Justin Haley,” Kaulig said. “For the past few years, our drivers have meshed so well together, especially on these types of tracks, and Justin Haley has been a huge part of our success as a team.”

Overall, Haley has eight wins in the NASCAR National Series ranks including one win in the NASCAR Cup Series, four wins in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition and three NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victories.

Haley’s four NXS wins and one NCS win have all come at either Daytona or Talladega.
