Bobby McCarty – a three-time champion of the CARS Late Model Stock Tour — will attempt to qualify for his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, driving the No. 47 for Mike Harmon Racing, the team announced Monday.

Over the last decade, the 29-year-old has been competing primarily in Late Model Stocks, amassing 24 victories, including the 2017 Hampton Heat and the 2021 Thunder Road Harley Davidson 200.

“We are excited to see what Bobby [McCarty] can bring to the table at New Hampshire Motor Speedway,” said Mike Harmon, team owner of Mike Harmon Racing. “His long career in racing and his accomplishments within the series is impressive, we look forward to seeing him behind the wheel of the 47.”

The Summerfield, North Carolina-native will look to add a bright spot to the single-car organization’s season, by looking to surpass the team’s season-best finish of 21st, which came with Gray Gaulding at Talladega.

“I want to thank Mike Harmon Racing and my sponsors, Kirk and Lynette Ipock at Solid Rock Carriers and Barry Nelton with AutosByNelson. Without them this wouldn’t be possible,” said McCarty in a team release via social media.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series Crayon 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will take place on Saturday, July 16 at 2:30 pm / ET on USA Network.
