Chase Elliott went for a spin after slapping the outside wall while battling for second-place in the Coca-Cola 600.

Chase Elliott had just made a move on Daniel Suarez for second-place in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 on lap 187, when his No. 9 Chevrolet slid up the track and he made contact with the wall in turn 2.

As Elliott got to turn 4, it was apparent something was wrong with his car and he went for a spin down the front stretch.

Here is video of Elliott’s spin:

Following the spin, Elliott radioed to his team that he felt the rear toe link was bent after the slap into the wall.

Elliott had taken the Stage 1 win earlier in the night, but will have an uphill battle if he wants to have a chance to win the race.
