Buddy Kofoid – a standout in Toyota Racing Development’s dirt racing program — will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt on April 16, driving the No. 51 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

The 2021 USAC Midget National Champion will pilot the organization’s No. 51 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in the April 16 event, with sponsorship backing from Mobil 1, the company which serves as the anchor partner of his Keith Kunz Motorsports midget entry.

“Getting the opportunity to race the best equipment in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is a huge step in my career and I can’t thank Kyle Busch Motorsports, Mobil 1, and Toyota enough for giving me this chance,” Kofoid said in a team release. “To be making my Truck Series debut in such a unique event at an iconic venue like Bristol Motor Speedway is going to be really cool.”

Kofoid will have a stout piece underneath him at Bristol, with Kyle Busch Motorsports bringing the exact truck that Martin Truex Jr. claimed the inaugural Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt victory on in 2021.
