The 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season started off with such hope for Landon Cassill as the journeyman driver was transitioning to Kaulig Racing in the No. 10 car for the full season, but in Saturday’s Production Alliance Group 300 at Auto Club Speedway, Cassill’s race came to a fast end.

On lap 7, Cassill’s car began leaking fluid, which brought out the caution flag. Moments later, Cassill’s No. 10 Carnomoly car erupted into flames.

Here is the wild scene as it unfolded on the FS1 broadcast:

While the scene was scary, Cassill was able to climb from the car and was able to walk away unharmed. However, Cassill will have a 37th-or-worse-place finish.
