Trackhouse Racing has forever changed the game of NASCAR racing with their approach to the business side of things, and that trend will continue as the team will have primary sponsorship on Ross Chastain’s No. 1 car from Casa Del Sol Tequilla for this weekend’s Wise Power 400 at Auto Club Speedway.

Casa Del Sol, which launched in September, was co-founded by Mexican-American actress, producer, director and activist Eva Longoria. Since September, Casa Del Sol, which means House of the Sun, has developed three distinct sipping tequilas – Blanco, Reposado and Añejo.

For team owner Justin Marks, it’s all about meshing growing brands with his growing race team.

“Marrying a young, growing, national tequila brand like Casa Del Sol with a young, growing, race team like Trackhouse Racing is a natural fit,” said Marks in a team release.

“Like we do with all of our corporate partners, we plan to create great memories with great people this weekend and spread the word about Casa Del Sol to tequila aficionados across the country.”

Chastain will look to shake off the sting of a last-place finish in the season-opening Daytona 500. Chastain was running in the lead pack, when Tyler Reddick had a part break on his No. 8 Richard Childress Racing machine, which caused it to spin. Reddick’s spin triggered the crash that ended Chastain’s race.

The 29-year old driver has three-career NASCAR Cup Series starts at Auto Club Speedway. His best finish came in his last outing there in 2020, as he finished 17th for Roush Fenway Racing, while subbing for an injured Ryan Newman.

Chastain is in his first year with Trackhouse Racing, which debuted in the NASCAR Cup Series last season with their No. 99 entry driven by Daniel Suárez.
