Loris Hezemans, the two-time and defending NASCAR Whelen Euro Series champion, will return to the seat of the No. 27 Ford Mustang for Team Hezeberg Powered by Reaume Bros in the NASCAR-sanctioned test at Phoenix, later this month.

A representative from Team Hezeberg confirmed the organization’s intentions to participate in the two-day test to TobyChristie.com, while also confirming that Hezemans will take on all driving duties at the one-mile oval.

The January 25-26 test will mark the second time that Hezemans has driven the Next Gen car, and the first time on an oval, after testing the car late last year at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL.

Jacques Villeneuve, who plans to compete in the season-opener for the team, has also tested the car twice, participating in the most recent testing session at Daytona International Speedway, earlier this month. Villeneuve will not test the car at Phoenix.
