After a breakout season for Alex Bowman in his first time piloting the No. 48 for Hendrick Motorsports, his sophomore season in the car will get a bold new look heading into 2022.

The brand new scheme was revealed on Tuesday via social media.

The paint scheme’s more sophisticated design was toned back for 2022, bringing more striping along the front wheels and the iconic echo hood design remains for the first season with the Next Gen car.

Bowman had his best career season in 2021, scoring four wins, 16 top-10 finishes, and a spot in the NASCAR Playoffs. The Arizona driver brought the No. 48 back to victory lane for the first time since 2017 with a major win at Richmond in the Spring.

The new scheme will debut at the Busch Clash at the L.A. Coliseum on February 6th.
