Austin Cindric, Ryan Blaney Getting Discount Tire Backing in 2022

Discount Tire will continue its partnership in 2022 with Team Penske, and the sponsor will expand its reach across the organization next season.

Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Austin Cindric will take over the flagship No. 2 Mustang with backing from the tire retailer, as well as Ryan Blaney, who is entering his seventh full-time Cup Series season with Team Penske in the No. 12 Ford.

The news was shared via social media by the sponsor Friday evening.

Discount Tire will take 13 races on the No. 2, while taking two playoff races for Blaney in the No. 12 Mustang according to the sponsor.

Blaney himself has taken the Discount Tire colors to victory lane before during his time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

No paint scheme was shared however it is expected that the No. 2 Discount Tire Ford will remain largely the same compared to its design of the last few seasons with Brad Keselowski.
