Wow, heads up driving by Spire Motorsports’ Corey LaJoie. In the closing moments of NASCAR Cup Series qualifying for Sunday’s Verizon 200 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course, LaJoie was the only race car on track.
Unfortunately, LaJoie wasn’t the only vehicle on track, though, as a safety truck had worked it’s way onto the track early. The safety truck is supposed to go on track between qualifying rounds to ensure there is no debris on the track, but instead of helping safety on Sunday morning, the safety truck created a pucker moment for LaJoie.
"Did we go out a little early?"

Luckily, LaJoie was able to detect the safety truck in time and he was able to avoid them.
