Bubba Wallace and the No. 23 23XI Racing team will have to drop to the rear of the field before Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Foxwoods Resort & Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after unapproved adjustments were made to the car after technical inspection.

Wallace’s crew chief Mike Wheeler posted a photo of what caused his team to have to make an adjustment, the digital dash board died causing the team to swap out to a new one.

Wallace was scheduled to roll from the 18th starting spot. While he’ll officially be scored as starting 18th, Wallace will have to forfeit the position before the green flag on Sunday.

For daily fantasy racing purposes, Wallace will still be scored as starting 18th.

In addition to Wallace, Corey LaJoie, Ryan Preece, Quin Houff and BJ McLeod will also drop to the rear.
