RSS Racing will welcome a familiar face back to the organization, in the form of Shane Wilson, who will take over duties as crew chief of the No. 39 Ford Mustang from Kevin Starland.

Wilson has served as the crew chief for David Gilliland Racing’s No. 15 for Tanner Gray in the first six NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the season, but will return to RSS Racing for the first-time since 2019 in Saturday’s Steakhouse Elite 200 at Darlington.

Through eight races this season, Sieg has scored one top-five and three top-10s in the No. 39, which places him 17th in series point standings. The change will hopefully help launch both RSS Racing and Ryan Sieg into the Xfinity Series Playoffs for the third consecutive season.

Kevin Starland will remain employed by the organization, but will take on a vehicle preperation role within the team.
