Camden Murphy will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports in Friday Night’s BrakeBest Brake Pads 159 at Daytona’s Road Course, the organization confirmed to TobyChristie.com on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old has competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since 2014, most recently getting the opportunity to drive the No. 8 Silverado at Bristol Motor Speedway last September, recording a 19th-place finish.

While Murphy has no experience in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Daytona’s Road Course, the Itasca, Illinois-native has run a pair of events at Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park), recording a best-finish of 22nd in 2017 for Copp Motorsports.

Although he isn’t consistently behind the wheel of the NEMCO Motorsports No. 8, Murphy still contributes to the team regularly, serving as a mechanic for the organization when they come to the racetrack with a different driver, like at Daytona.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will take the green flag at Daytona’s Road Course for the BrakeBest Brake Pads 159 on Friday, February 19th at 7:30 PM / EST, airing live on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90).
