After confirming a continued alliance between SS Greenlight Racing, and Rick Ware Racing in the Xfinity Series, Cody Ware has been tapped to pilot the combined No. 17 for this weekend’s race in Daytona.

Jacob Companies will continue their relationship with the Ware’s, serving as the primary sponsor for the effort.

The No. 17 entry will bring another Ford Mustang to the Xfinity field, a manufacturer that dominated the series in 2020 with only two full-time entries at Stewart-Haas Racing and Team Penske.

In addition to his Xfinity race, Ware will take over the driving duties of the flagship No. 51 entry for Rick Ware Racing starting this weekend in Daytona. The team will get a full season of sponsorship from Biohaven Pharmaceuticals, promoting their Nurtec ODT Medication for migraines.

The  Xfinity Series will open their season on Saturday, February 13th for the “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. 300” Coverage begins at 5 PM EST on FOX Sports 1 and the FOX Sports App.
