On Thursday Afternoon, Hendrick Motorsports and Axalta Coating Systems revealed the new identity for William Byron’s No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE ahead of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series campaign.

The brand-new paint scheme is a modernized shoutout to Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 DuPont “Rainbow Warriors” Chevrolet that was run throughout the 1990s, known as one of the most colorful and bright paint schemes in NASCAR’s history.

Axalta Coating Systems is scheduled to be the primary sponsor of William Byron’s Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in 14 events throughout the 2021 season, beginning with the 63rd annual DAYTONA 500 – the season-opener for the NASCAR Cup Series.

Last August, Byron clinched a spot into the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs with his first career victory at Daytona International Speedway, becoming only the second driver at NASCAR’s top-level to bring the iconic number to victory lane.
