Raphael Lessard will join powerhouse organization GMS Racing for a partial schedule in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for 2021, in hopes of competing for a championship if proper funding can be found.

The St.-Joseph de Beauce, Quebec-native’s agreement with GMS Racing includes 12 races throughout the 2021 season, with Lessard and his team working hard to secure the sponsorship to participate in the remaining 10 races.

“We are very excited to have Raphael join GMS Racing for part of the 2021 season,” said Mike Beam, President of GMS Racing. “I believe Raphael will be a great addition to our GMS stable and I look forward to seeing him wheel one of our Chevrolets.

Driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2020, Lessard scored a victory at Talladega Superspeedway, alongside four top-fives and seven top-tens.

“Finding myself with the best team of the 2020 season is unbelievable. They won the championship! I can’t wait to show what we can do aboard such great machines. The team knows how to bring potential winners at every race, a key to a great season. Our team will be great, and I can’t wait to be back on track.”

At this time no schedule of events, truck number, sponsor or crew chief has been announced.
