For Chase Briscoe, it has been an incredible 2020 season on the track. Off of it, it’s been one heart break after another. The driver, who has racked up an impressive nine wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season, and appears to be the walkaway championship favorite, along with his wife Marissa, have now experienced the most heart-wrenching thing a parent can ever go through twice.

On Wednesday, Marissa Briscoe revealed on Twitter that the couple has had their second miscarriage of the year.

Following Marissa’s brave post, where she shared the painful news, Chase took to Twitter in support of his wife.

Earlier in the year, just before the spring Darlington race, Marissa had been informed of their first miscarriage after a doctor visit, while Chase was in South Carolina awaiting a race.

Briscoe went on to win the race that weekend in dramatic fashion in a fender-bending close finish over Kyle Busch.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the Briscoe family. I know it will do little to ease the actual pain of the situation, but perhaps Chase Briscoe can add a 10th win to his total this weekend to begin the healing process.
