You know the drill.

The 16th-annual running of the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 from Texas Motor Speedway has been postponed for the third consecutive day, due to persistent inclement weather. The event is now scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 28th at 3:00PM EST / 2:00PM CST and will be available on NBCSN, PRN and SiruisXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).

No additional laps have been turned by the NASCAR Cup Series since Sunday Afternoon, leaving the race set to resume on lap 53 with Clint Bowyer, Jimmie Johnson and Erik Jones the top-three runners over the course of what will be an almost three day red flag.

While the forecast doesn’t TOTALLY  look favorable for tomorrow afternoon either, expect NASCAR to make an immense effort – much like Monday and Tuesday — to try and wrap up the 500-mile event tomorrow afternoon.

NASCAR says if the NASCAR Cup Series is able to race Wednesday at Texas, there would be no need for adjustments to the Martinsville schedule. However, if the series is forced to remain in Texas for an additional period of time, there will be some changes required.
