Tyler Reddick and Erik Jones entered Pocono Raceway’s first-ever doubleheader weekend on both sides of the playoff bubble, separated by only one point halfway through the regular season. Both drivers will exit today in dire need of a good points day in tomorrow’s second NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway.

The initial contact occurred when Kurt Busch’s No. 1 slowed at the exit of turn three, resulting in Jones’ No. 20 and Reddick’s No. 8 to make contact trying to avoid Busch, sending them into the inside wall, just barely missing the end of the pit wall.

Erik Jones was unable to continue in the race and has since retired and will finish 38th. Tyler Reddick was able to continue, but is two laps down as they run.
