WOW-WEE! WHAT. A. FINISH.

Short Track Racing is back at Bristol Motor Speedway! Everyone knows that if you aren’t using the bumper in the closing stages of a short track race, then you won’t be headed to victory lane at the end of the race.

Both Joey Logano and Chase Elliott were battling hard with Denny Hamlin for the lead, when contact between Elliott and Logano, sent Logano into Hamlin, spinning his No. 11 to the inside of the track, collecting B.J. McLeod’s No. 78.

Then on the following restart with five laps to go tensions were already high between Elliott and Logano, leading to a intense battle between the No. 22 and No. 9 for the final five laps, that ended in contact and two heavily damaged race cars coming to two laps to go, when Elliott drove the NAPA Auto Parts No. 9 deep into Turn 3, washing up into Logano and sending both into the outside wall.

Brad Keselowski, and the No. 2 Discount Tire Ford Mustang was able to escape the carnage, slipping through to earn his second win of the season.

Joey Logano would come home in 21st with Logano in 22nd when all was said and done.
