If Ryan Sieg wants his Cinderella Playoff Season to continue into Round 2 of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs, it looks like he will need to win next weekend’s race at Dover International Speedway.

Sieg had a rough weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, but he was still looking to salvage something of his day. However, with 22 laps remaining, his No. 39 machine stopped running.

Turns out the issue was a fuel-pickup issue.

Sieg would get a push from the tow truck to the garage and his hopes at a decent finish were dashed.

The RSS Racing team would thrash away on their car for three laps, and Sieg would return to the track in the 32nd position.

Sieg entered the day 10th in the championship standings. The top-eight following next weekend’s race in Dover advance to the next round.

The Georgia native has two top-five finishes and nine top-10s this year and has been the feel-good story of the 2019 season.
