The good news for Kyle Busch? After changing engines on Saturday, the penalty won’t be too severe as he was already scheduled to start near the rear in Sunday’s Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Busch was 33rd in Saturday’s qualifying session.

After his qualifying run, Busch who ran about a second slower than he believed he should, speculated that there was something wrong during his slow fast lap.

If there has been one Achilles heal for Busch in 2019, it would be qualifying. Through 25 races, he still is in search of his first pole of the year.
