Inspection Complete: Denny Hamlin’s Race-Winning Car DQ’ed, Cole Custer Wins

Post-race technical inspection following Saturday’s Sport Clips VFW 200 at Darlington Raceway has been completed. The race-winning No. 18 car of Denny Hamlin has failed post-race inspection. The car measured too low post-race. As a result, NASCAR has stripped the win from the No. 18 team, and Hamlin has been credited with a last-place finish.

Cole Custer, who finished second in the race, is the official winner of the race as his No. 00 car has passed post-race inspection.

This marks Custer’s first career win at Darlington Raceway and his sixth victory of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
