DENVER, N.C. (August 7, 2019) – On Point Motorsports is proud to announce that Danny Bohn will pilot the No. 30 Brantley Gilbert Toyota Tundra in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series event at Martinsville Speedway on October 26th. The race serves as the NASCAR national series debut for the accomplished third-generation racer, who is well known in the modified racing circles in both the Northeast and Southeast.

Bohn rose to prominence in 2012 when he earned NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship runner-up, Rookie of the Year and Most Popular Driver honors. Bohn followed that up with the 2014 modified track championship at the famed Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C. But a Bohn winning races is nothing new. Both Bohn’s grandfather, Parker Bohn, and father, Eddie Bohn, are legendary drivers and mechanics from New Jersey.

“It’s been a long road to get to this point to race on a national stage and I have to thank On Point Motorsports for providing the opportunity as well as Scott Borchetta and Ray Evernham for making it possible,” said the 31-year-old Bohn, who currently serves as shop manager at Ray Evernham Enterprises and races select events at Bowman Gray and on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. “I’ve got a lot of support behind me and I intend to make the most of my opportunity and prove that a modified racer like me deserves his shot.”

Big Machine Label Group is supporting Bohn’s debut as primary sponsor and will feature the upcoming release of country music star Brantley Gilbert’s new album, Fire & Brimstone, in the paint scheme. The fifth studio album for Brantley will be released October 4 and features the hit, leadoff single “What Happens in a Small Town,” featuring Lindsay Ell.

“Big Machine Label Group and Brantley Gilbert are proud to support Danny Bohn in his first NASCAR series truck race! As a former NASCAR Weekly Truck Champion, I will take great pride in seeing the Big Machine & Brantley Gilbert sponsored No. 30 Toyota Tundra give ‘em hell at Martinsville,” said Scott Borchetta, Big Machine Label Group founder, president and CEO. “I have made a career out of spotting and supporting young talent and I hope that this is a successful run and just the first of many starts for Danny.”

The running of the Alpha Energy Solutions 200 is scheduled for Saturday, October 26 with live television coverage on Fox Sports 1 at 1:30 p.m. ET and nationwide radio coverage on the Motor Racing Network (MRN).
