Through three races in 2019, AM Racing has recorded a top-10 finish and their driver Austin Wayne Self sits 12th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series point standings. However, that isn’t good enough for the upstart race team.

On Wednesday, the team announced on Twitter that they have hired Bubba Wallace to pilot their No. 22 truck in Martinsville Speedway for the distinct reason of detecting where they can improve their vehicles going forward.

Wallace has recorded two wins and four top-five finishes in four-career Truck Series starts at the half-mile paper clip.
