Roger Penske Reveals that he Had a Kidney Transplant in 2017

Legendary motorsports car owner Roger Penske revealed to the Associated Press on Friday that he underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.  Penske’s procedure took place at the May Clinic just days after the 2017 IndyCar season finale — where his driver Josef Newgarden won the championship.

Penske has won over 500 races as an owner through the entire world of Motorsport. His NASCAR driver Joey Logano won the title this past season and through three events in 2019, his NASCAR team already has two wins.
