Video: Kyle Busch Crashes, Suffers Heavy Impact After Ryan Blaney Slams Into Him

Kyle Busch, the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series champion, is still in search of his first victory of the 2020 season. It’ll have to wait at least one more week, as Busch went for a wild ride while battling with Ryan Blaney and the lapped car of Garrett Smithley on lap 74.

While FOX replays caught the insane impact for Busch, their cameras did not catch the cause of the crash as it was happening. However, after the crash Blaney had damage on the right front of his car and a scuff was noticeable on the left rear of Busch’s No. 18 car.

“We’re in 2020, so it doesn’t surprise me to get crashed out from the lead,” Busch said of the accident. “The M&M’s Camry was pretty fast there [Crew Chief] Adam [Stephens] and the guys did a great job. It’s just very frustrating, unfortunate. I know what happened, but it doesn’t make any sense to talk about it. It just comes across in a bad way.”

Following all of this, NASCAR released their own footage of the incident to Twitter, which clearly shows Blaney come into the turn really hot. Blaney washes up the track into Busch.
