Tony Stewart, one of the faces that made the opening season of the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Series a success in 2021 will return for the full campaign again in 2022.

SRX announced Stewart, the 2021 champion of the Summer racing series, returning to the series in a tweet on Wednesday.

Stewart, on his path to the championship, scored two wins and five podium finishes in the Series’ six-race season a year ago.

In addition to Stewart running full-time in 2022, SRX announced that Hailie Deegan would reprise her part-time role in the series from last season. Deegan will compete at Stafford Speedway and I-55 Raceway this year in SRX.

Another fun driver announcement by SRX on Wednesday, was that 2003 NASCAR Cup Series champion Matt Kenseth will also join in on the fun, as he’ll run three SRX events this season.

Kenseth will pilot the No. 17 yellow car at Nashville Fairgrounds, I-55 Raceway and Sharon Speedway.
