FORECAST UPDATE #1: Thursday, October 27th at 9:50 PM ET

The weekend forecast for the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series at Martinsville Speedway has improved since the early projections on Tuesday. Rain, which was expected to potentially plague Martinsville all day on Sunday, now isn’t expected until later in the afternoon to evening hours, which *SHOULD* allow for things to get to at least halfway and be official.

RaceWeather.net‘s Aaron Studwell gives the Odds of Racing (OOR) as 85-90%.

Friday, October 28th (NASCAR Xfinity Series practice/qualifying at 4:00 PM ET)

Weather Conditions: Partly Sunny with increasing clouds
Low Temperature: 45 degrees F
High Temperature: 62 degrees F

Saturday, October 29th (NASCAR Cup Series practice/qualifying at 12:00 PM ET, NASCAR Xfinity Series race at 3:00 PM ET)

Weather Conditions: Mostly cloudy with slight chances of showers in the evening
Low Temperature: 46 degrees F
High Temperature: 60 degrees F
Wind: NE winds around 5-8 mph

Sunday, October 30th (NASCAR Cup Series race at 2:00 PM ET)

Weather Conditions: Chance of PM showers, risk increasing in the late afternoon hours
Low Temperature: 46 degrees F
High Temperature: 61 degrees F
