Race Results: 2025 NCS Bank of America ROVAL 400 at the Charlotte ROVAL

Shane Van Gisbergen actually had some challengers in Sunday’s Bank of America ROVAL 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, but in the end, it was another fantastic display of perfection that put the No. 88 Chevrolet in Victory Lane.

Van Gisbergen paced the field for 57 of 109 laps in Sunday’s 109-lap contest, capturing the victory by a whopping 15 seconds over the defending winner at the purpose-built road course, Kyle Larson. Larson was undoubtedly the biggest challenger for Van Gisbergen all afternoon, but in the end, he was no match for the three-time Supercars champion.

Christopher Bell brought home a solid third-place finish on the afternoon, following his time spending most of the afternoon within striking distance of the top-two drivers. Chris Buescher finished fourth, about where the RFK Racing driver ran throughout the entire afternoon.

Michael McDowell collected a top-five finish in the No. 71 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, finishing the race in the fifth position. Ryan Preece was sixth, with Daniel Suarez, Chase Elliott, AJ Allmendinger, and Tyler Reddick rounding out the top-10.

William Byron (11th), Ryan Blaney (13th), Chase Briscoe (14th), Bubba Wallace (15th), Joey Logano (20th), Ross Chastain (21st), Denny Hamlin (23rd), and Austin Cindric (38th) were the drivers who finished outside the top-10 that were in postseason contention entering the race.

Ross Chastain, Austin Cindric, Bubba Wallace, and Tyler Reddick were all eliminated from the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs following Sunday’s Bank of America ROVAL 400. Chastain was in position to move through on the final lap, until getting passed by Denny Hamlin. However, the Trackhouse Racing driver attempted to counteract that move by lunging into the final corner in hopes of getting that position back, only to end up wrecking them both.

Austin Cindric had a myriad of issues throughout the afternoon, which ended up in a big side-slam to the No. 2 Ford Mustang Dark Horse courtesy of Carson Hocevar. Cindric did return to the racetrack, but finished 38th, 22 laps off the pace.

The NASCAR Cup Series will begin the Round of 8 with a trip to Las Vegas Motor Speedway next Sunday, October 12 at 5:30 PM ET on USA Network, Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
