Is Kansas Speedway going to be the destination for Ryan Sieg to collect his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory? Driving the No. 39 Sci Aps Ford Mustang Dark Horse for the family-owned RSS Racing, Sieg was quickest in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series practice from the 1.5-mile racetrack in Kansas City, Kansas.
Brenden Queen, winner of Friday’s ARCA Menards Series event at the racetrack, was second quickest in the session — making just his second career start in the second-tier series for Kaulig Racing. In a topsy-turvy practice session, Anthony Alfredo and Young’s Motorsports ranked third, with Sammy Smith (the fastest of the post-season drivers) and Matt DiBenedetto in fourth and fifth place.
Leland Honeyman was sixth, with Jesse Love, Daniel Dye, Kole Raz, and Nick Sanchez rounding out the top-10.
Saturday’s practice saw a smattering of NASCAR Xfinity Series post-season drivers distributed throughout the field, with Brandon Jones 11th, Justin Allgaier 14th, Taylor Gray 15th, Austin Hill 17th, Sam Mayer 19th, Sheldon Creed 24th, Connor Zilisch 25th, Harrison Burton 28th, and Carson Kvapil 33rd.
NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying from Kansas will immediately follow the conclusion of Saturday’s practice session. The Kansas Lottery 300 will run later this afternoon at 4:00 PM ET on The CW, Motor Racing Network (MRN), and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
