We’re running out of clever things to say about Connor Zilisch leading a session in the NASCAR Xfinity Series…
The 19-year-old driver has done it again, pacing Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series practice from Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL, continuing the road course dominance that he and JR Motorsports have exhibited over the second-tier series this year.
With a lap time of 85.573 seconds, Zilisch was a half-second faster in the session than his teammates at JR Motorsports, Carson Kvapil and Connor Mosack, who made mock qualifying runs to take second and third.
Jesse Love showed some significant speed during practice on Saturday, ranking fourth on the speed charts, with Justin Allgaier and Sammy Smith (two more drivers from JR Motorsports) rounding out the top six.
Austin Green, driving a fourth entry for Jordan Anderson Racing in the No. 87 Chevrolet, was seventh quickest, with Austin Hill, Nick Sanchez, and Sam Mayer rounding out the top-10.
