Chase Briscoe turned the fastest lap time in NASCAR Cup Series practice on Saturday morning at Michigan International Speedway. The driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, who is looking for his third consecutive pole position, turned a lap time of 36.832 seconds (195.482 mph).
Briscoe narrowly defeated his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell by 0.016 seconds for the fastest lap in the session. Chris Buescher, Alex Bowman, and Austin Dillon were the remainder of the top-five fastest in the session.
