NASCAR Xfinity Series United Rentals 250 at Talladega Starting Lineup

It’s a tale as old as time: Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has once again put a car on the pole in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at a superspeedway, with Jesse Love, driver of the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet, winning the pole for Saturday’s United Rentals 250 at Talladega.

With a lap time of 52.605 seconds in the second round of qualifying, equivalent to 182.036mph, Love captured his third consecutive pole at Talladega Superspeedway, and for Richard Childress Racing, the organization’s seventh straight pole.

William Sawalich will start on the outside of the front row, with Christian Eckes in third. The next closest driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs is Carson Kvapil, who will roll from fourth in his Bass Pro Shops-sponsored No. 1 Chevrolet. Austin Hill, who often times finds himself on the pole or the front row for superspeedways, qualified a surprising fifth.

Jeb Burton of Jordan Anderson Racing made an impressive appearance in the second round of qualifying, and will start sixth, with Connor Zilisch, Justin Allgaier, Aric Almirola, and Brandon Jones rounding out the top-10.

Other NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs drivers that failed to advance to the second and final round of qualifying on Saturday include Sammy Smith, who will start 11th, Sam Mayer (13th), and Sheldon Creed (16th).

Of the 38 drivers entered in Saturday’s United Rentals 250 at Talladega Superspeedway, only Taylor Gray, driver of the No. 54 Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing, failed to post a lap, citing a transmission issue on the Operation 300-sponsored machine.

The United Rentals 250 will take place on Saturday, October 18 at 4:00 PM ET.
