Joey Logano will fire off from the pole position in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway, as he secured the pole with a 26.561-second lap time (135.537 mph) in Saturday’s qualifying session.
Kyle Larson surprised himself with the second-fastest qualifying time in the session and will start alongside Logano on the front row of Sunday’s race.
Austin Cindric, Daniel Suarez, and Ryan Blaney rounded out the top-five fastest drivers in Saturday’s qualifying session.
