Video: Armani Williams Slides Into Inside Pit Wall; Narrowly Misses Garage Opening

Armani Williams was able to climb from his No. 46 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro under his own power, after hitting the pit wall with 50 to go in Friday’s NC Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte.

That could have been very, very bad for Armani Williams.

With 52 laps to go in Friday’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Williams, driving the No. 46 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for G2G Racing, spun off of turn four and onto pit road.

Williams impacted the inside pit wall with significant force, after sliding all the way off the fourth corner and a couple of pit stalls down the pit road. Luckily, the Detroit, Michigan native missed the garage opening, just narrowly.

Brad Perez, viewing the race from the spotter’s stand, showed an image of where the No. 46 impacted the pit wall, and just how close it was to the opening for cars to enter and exit the garage.

Williams was able to climb from his No. 46 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro under his own power, and will be brought to the infield care center, where he will be evaluated by the infield medical team.

Out of the race after completing 65 laps, Williams will finish 35th in the NC Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
