UPDATE #1 — Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:13 AM ET : According to a representative from On Point Motorsports, responding to a request for clarification from TobyChristie.com, the Sonoma Raceway DoorDash 250 was not on the original scheduled set of races for Fogleman with the No. 30 team.

The team insists that this was a scheduled missed race for Fogleman and that he is still with the team.

Any further updates will be added to the story as they come.

ORIGINAL STORY — Wednesday June 8, 2022 at 10:05 AM ET : Some unexpected news on a Wednesday morning as Tate Fogleman will not compete in the No. 30 Toyota Tundra for the On Point Motorsports team at Sonoma Raceway. Instead, Colin Garrett will slide behind the wheel of the truck for this weekend’s DoorDash 250.

On Wednesday, On Point confirmed the speculation that Fogleman was out, which began when the No. 30 driver for Sonoma was listed as TBA on an updated entry list from NASCAR, with a press release.

For Garrett, he’s excited to get his first NASCAR National Series start of the 2022 season and he just wants to bring the truck home clean.

“I’m really excited to be back on the NASCAR circuit with On Point Motorsport at Sonoma Raceway,” Garrett said in the team release. “I’m hoping for a good clean race and hoping to finish well for the team and my sponsors. That would be a great day for us all. I recently raced at Sonoma in the TC America Series and did well so I am looking forward to doing that again on Saturday.”

According to the release, Garrett will have sponsorship in the form of the 11/11 Veterans Project, which aims to help improve veterans’ access to resources that support healthy, happy lives.

Team UNBROKEN will also provide co-primary sponsorship of the No. 30, while RFH Tactical Mobility and The Rosie Network will also be on the trick in an associate sponsorship role.

The team did not release any additional information on the status of Fogleman or include whether he is still employed by the team in the release, and an attempt at further clarification from the team by TobyChristie.com has gone unanswered at the time of publishing, but, if one is received it will be included in an update.

Fogleman, the son of former NASCAR Xfinity Series competitor Jay Fogleman, has made a total of 59 starts in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition. The 22-year old has one-career win, which came at Talladega Superspeedway last fall.

The native of Durham, North Carolina, who sits 23rd in the 2022 NCWTS point standings, has a best finish of 12th this season, which came at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the second race of the year.
