Matt DiBenedetto will not be returning to Rackley WAR in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for 2024, the organization that he has called home for the last two seasons, the driver announced via social media on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old driver posted a statement to social media detailing his departure from the organization following the current season, where both driver and organization have qualified for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs for the first time.

“After careful consideration, I have decided not to return to Rackley W.A.R. for the 2024 race season,” the statement reads. “I’m very thankful to have been a part of the team’s tremendous growth over these two years. We’ve shared many accomplishments together such as the team’s first win, making the playoffs, six top-10s in a row, and much more. I’m thankful for the opportunity Rackley W.A.R., Curtis [Sutton], Willie [Allen], Chevrolet, and all our partners have given me these past two years and for believing in me.”

The statement continues: “I’m looking forward to what the future holds, as of right now I don’t have 2024 plans, but I am exploring all options in all series. Thank you to my dedicated and awesome fan base, as well as NASCAR and the whole industry for being able to make a career out of what I love.”

This season, DiBenedetto has shown the true ability of himself and the Rackley W.A.R. organization, scoring one top-five and 10 top-10 results en route to the post-season, berth. Entering the final race of the first round, the No. 25 is 23 points below the cutline.

Last October, the Grass Valley, California-native scored his first victory in NASCAR’s National Series at Talladega Superspeedway, after holding the top position in the tri-oval as a caution was displayed as a result of a major crash behind him.

DiBenedetto also has significant experience at both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series levels, with a combined 317 starts, nine top-five, and 33 top-10 finishes, primarily coming at NASCAR’s top-level.
