Colin Garrett is set to make his return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in this weekend’s event at Circuit of The Americas, reuniting with On Point Motorsports for Saturday’s XPEL 225.

The 22-year-old driver will attempt to make his third start in the NASCAR Truck Series, piloting the No. 30 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. Sponsorship for the effort will come from the 11/11 Veteran Project and Team Unbroken.

The relationship between Garrett and On Point Motorsports isn’t a brand-new one, after the South Boston, Virginia-native was scheduled to compete for the team in last season’s NASCAR Truck Series event at Sonoma, but was unable to receive his drug test in time to race.

In Garrett’s two prior starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, both with Niece Motorsports, the driver scored finishes of 21st and 24th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway, respectively.

Circuit of The Americas will mark the first time that Garrett has competed on a road course in NASCAR’s top-three series, despite a 12-race tenure in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with MBM Motorsports and Sam Hunt Racing.

In his 12-race stint in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Garrett was able to record three finishes inside the top-15, with a pair of career-best 14th-place finishes at Homestead-Miami Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway in 2020 and 2021.

Heading into Circuit of The Americas, On Point Motorsports sits 28th in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner points, after having Chris Hacker behind the wheel of the entry at Daytona, and Ryan Vargas at Atlanta. Both drivers are expected to return for additional races throughout the year.
