Brandon Jones, a five-time winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will continue his role as the driver of the No. 9 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports in 2024, the organization announced via social media on Friday.

The 26-year-old driver will have the continued support of Menards, as he approaches his ninth full-time season racing in the Xfinity Series in 2024, and his second competing full-time for JR Motorsports.

“Competing for race wins and series championships alongside John Menard and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a driver’s dream come true, especially since both have worked together with great success before,” said Jones. “The partnership between the two organizations is top-notch and I am excited for the opportuning to continue that success.”

In his debut season with JR Motorsports, Jones has struggled to get off on the right foot, scoring three top-five and seven top-10 results on the year, including a season-high second-place result last time out at Kansas Speedway.

With some difficult luck on his side, Jones finds himself sitting 14th in NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings, missing the post-season for the first time since 2017, when he was driving for Richard Childress Racing.

In his eight previous full-time campaigns, Jones has recorded a career-high points finish of sixth place, which came in 2020, when he piloted the No. 19 for Joe Gibbs Racing, the organization in which he scored his five victories.

Jones will once again serve as a teammate to Sam Mayer, who was announced as the returning driver of the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro earlier this week, after signing a contract extension with the championship-winning organization.

Additional announcements surrounding the remainder of the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver lineup for JR Motorsports in 2024, as well as personnel confirmations for Jones and the No. 9 Chevrolet team, will be made at a later date.
