Austin Cindric’s quest to win back-to-back NASCAR Xfinity Series championships is looking strong thus far, recording the second-fastest lap in the series’ only practice session and the fastest lap in Saturday Night’s qualifying session at Phoenix Raceway. The Team Penske Ford Mustang put down a time of 27.293 seconds / 131.902mph en-route to his eighth career pole.

John Hunter Nemechek will start in the runner-up position in the No. 54 Toyota Supra, as Joe Gibbs Racing looks to capture the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner’s Championship.
