Matt Mills went head on into the inside retaining wall after contact with Joe Graf Jr. at Las Vegas. Screengrab from FS1 broadcast.

Matt Mills went for an absolute ride on lap 83 of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Mills was running outside the top-20 and battling with Joe Graf Jr., when it appeared at first glance that Graf made a move to the inside of the track to block Mills.

However, after more analyzing of the replay, it appears that Graf actually made contact with Mason Massey coming off of turn two, which sent Graf sliding down into Mills. The contact between Mills and Graf sent Mills going head-on into the inside wall.

Here is a replay of the incident that ended Mills’ race:

Mills took a massive impact, and Mason Massey also spun behind Graf and Mills. Fortunately Mills was able to walk away from the scary accident.
