Video: Justin Allgaier Gives Update on Condition, Says Elevated Heart Rate Led to Hospital Visit

Justin Allgaier has posted a video update about his condition following a hospital stay Thursday night in Kentucky. Allgaier explains that the medics in the Infield Care Center felt that his heart rate was a bit too elevated following Thursday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Kentucky, so they called for him to go to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Allgaier says that following tests, it was determined that he is in fine health.

Allgaier has been cleared to return to his No. 7 JR Motorsports ride in Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 after staying overnight in a local hospital after a crash in Thursday’s Shady Rays 200.

On Friday morning, Allgaier was released from the hospital, and later in the day he was officially cleared to return to the track.
