With a mixture of cars on sticker tires and cars on older tires, things are always bound to get crazy, especially when your running on a track with as many usable lanes as Michigan International Speedway does. Unfortunately, a multi-car accident on the restart in stage two will end the day of multiple contenders, including Austin Cindric and Daniel Hemric.

The accident started when Brandon Brown’s No. 68 made slight contact with Justin Allgaier, causing him to let off the gas and slide into the path of Bubba Wallace, causing a monumental stackup. From there, Maytt Snider broke loose, sliding across the nose of Austin Cindric and collecting the cars to his outside, which subsequently sent cars spinning everywhere.

Myatt Snider, Daniel Hemric, Austin Cindric, Bubba Wallace, Brandon Brown, Justin Haley, Joe Graf Jr were involved in the seven car accident exiting turn two, with the No. 07, No. 18, and No. 68 being knocked out of the event. Cindric, Haley, Wallace and Snider were all able to continue, albeit multiple laps down.
