Ryan Truex Joins Sam Hunt Racing in No. 24 Entry at Daytona

Ryan Truex to pilot No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota in NASCAR Xfinity season opener at Daytona in 2025

Ryan Truex, who won two NASCAR Xfinity Series races a season ago for Joe Gibbs Racing, has landed a ride for the 2025 NXS season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway. Truex, 32, will pilot the No. 24 Toyota GR Supra for the team with primary sponsorship from BB Printing Co.

Truex, who competed in this event for Sam Hunt Racing in 2022 and finished 12th, is thankful for the chance to compete for his fourth career Xfinity Series win.

“Sam and I have known each other for a long time. We’ve become great friends outside of the garage area, and I’m thankful to have the opportunity to work together on the track too,” said Truex. “I’m thankful that our friendship has grown into a business relationship and for the opportunity to race under the SHR banner with BB Printing at Daytona.”

Truex heads to the high banks at Daytona as the most recent winner at the 2.5-mile superspeedway as he captured victory in last Summer’s Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola.

“It’s always great to have Ryan in our GR Supra, an experienced proven winner in the series and someone that genuinely cares about the success and growth of our team,” said team owner Sam Hunt. “As the defending Daytona winner, he will serve to be a valuable resource and teammate for Dean in 2025 as well. We’re grateful to have BB Printing supporting the effort and look forward to hitting the track and getting the season started.”

For BB Printing, a Hendersonville, TN-based company that has supported other drivers and teams in the past, the chance to partner with Truex and SHR at Daytona was too good to pass up.

According to a team press release, Sam Hunt Racing will expand the schedule for the No. 24 team in 2025. A season ago, Sam Hunt Racing fielded the car for a total of two events. Brian Gainey, who last season was the car chief of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing entry, will serve as the crew chief for the part-time No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing entry this year.
