Lavar Scott, a full-time ARCA Menards Series competitor for Rev Racing, will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut driving the No. 45 Chevrolet for Alpha Prime Racing in the Betrivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway on July 19. Additionally, Scott will return to the cockpit of the No. 45 machine for the September 6 event at World Wide Technology Raceway.

The tenacious young racer feels jumping up to make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut is a massive leap forward, and he’s humbled by the chance.

“Making my NASCAR Xfinity Series debut is a huge step forward in my career, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity. This is a moment I’ve worked toward for a long time,” Scott said. “Having the support of Foxxtecca and Alpha Prime Racing means the world to me, not just because they believe in me as a driver, but because they’re committed to creating real change in this sport. Together, we’re not just racing, we’re moving the culture forward, and I’m proud to be a part of that.”

Scott, 21, will have secondary sponsorship from Foxxtecca, an experiential media and events company, in his debut event at Dover. The company will return as the primary sponsorship partner for Scott’s second NASCAR Xfinity Series start.

The company says the sponsorship of Scott is about much more than putting their logo on a race car. Foxxtecca co-founder Chris Harris says that the driver and Alpha Prime Racing share common values with his organization.

“Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the chance to get to know Lavar, and he’s truly a dynamic individual,” said Harris. “When he brought us the opportunity to sponsor, it immediately felt like the right fit. This collaboration isn’t just about putting our name on a car, it’s about aligning with good people who share our values.”

Tommy Joe Martins, the Alpha Prime Racing Team President, says the ability to field a car for Scott in two races continues a string of fortunes for the team, which has given opportunities to some supremely talented young racers.

“We’ve been really lucky to have some great young drivers come through our team, and I’m very excited to be adding Lavar to our roster,” said Martins. “He’s come through the same development ladder as Rajah [Caruth] with Rev [Racing], and you can see how competitive he’s been in ARCA the past few seasons at all different types of racetracks. And he’s got all the intangible stuff, too. Great attitude, work ethic, very humble. He’s going to go far. And it’s a big deal to me and Caesar [Bacarella – Co-Owner of Alpha Prime Racing] to create a team that gives opportunities to drivers like Lavar.”

Scott, the 2024 ARCA Menards Series Rookie of the Year, is in the midst of a battle for the championship in the series this season. The New Jersey native, who finished runner-up in the championship standings a season ago, is third in the points after nine races in 2025. Through the opening nine races, Scott has yet to finish a race outside of the top-10.

In partnering with Scott, Foxxtecca saw a unique opportunity to help broaden the diversity within the NASCAR Xfinity Series garage.

“Supporting Lavar in his Xfinity debut is an extension of our commitment to creating more space for diverse voices in motorsports.” Harris continued. “After speaking with Tommy Joe Martins from Alpha Prime Racing, it was clear that we’re all on the same page when it comes to representation, opportunity, and building something meaningful. That kind of synergy made the decision easy.”

As part of his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut race weekend at Dover Motor Speedway, there will be a special Lavar Scott Meet & Greet Package during the race weekend, which includes the ARCA Menards Series in action. The Lavar Scott Meet & Greet Package includes one reserved ticket to the General Tire 150 ARCA Menards Series event on Friday, July 18, one reserved ticket to the BetRivers 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, July 19, as well as exclusive access to a meet and greet with Scott, which will come with a limited edition hero card. The Lavar Scott Meet & Greet Package at Dover can be purchased for $62.27.
