Kris Wright and Our Motorsports have agreed to part ways, effective immediately.

The Wexford, Pennsylvania-native confirms to TobyChristie.com that he will not return to the driver’s seat of the No. 5 Our Motorsports Chevrolet for the remainder of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign.

Kaz Grala is currently listed as the driver of the Our Motorsports entry for Saturday’s BetRivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway.

In November 2024, Our Motorsports confirmed that Wright would be replacing Anthony Alfredo as the full-time driver of the organization’s No. 5 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

With veteran crew chief Dan Stillman on top of the pit box calling the shots, Wright and Our Motorsports contested the first 19 events of the Xfinity Series campaign.

Wright, 30, qualified for 18 of the first 19 events of the Xfinity Series season, failing to make the Chicago Street Race. Throughout the first part of the season, the No. 5 collected three top-20 finishes, including a ninth at Martinsville.

Following the most recent NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Sonoma Raceway, Wright sits 29th in series point standings, the lowest of all drivers to attempt every single race.

Wright captured Rookie of the Year honors in the IMSA Prototype Challenge in 2017, and the following season, went on to win the IMSA Prototype Challenge LMP3 championship.

Jumping into full-bodied stock cars in 2020, Wright has competed in the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and NASCAR Xfinity Series, competing for teams such as Venturini Motorsports, Young’s Motorsports, and Brandonbilt Motorsports, amongst others.

Beyond this weekend at Dover (where Kaz Grala will drive the No. 5), it is unknown what exactly Our Motorsports will be doing with its No. 5 Chevrolet entry for the final 13 NASCAR Xfinity Series events of 2025.

TobyChristie.com has reached out to Our Motorsports in hopes of obtaining a statement about the organization’s parting of ways with Kris Wright. As of the time of publishing, no answer has been received.
