It has been a frustrating season for Justin Allgaier, who is still looking for his first race win of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, however he will still be in the NXS Playoffs. Now, he will add another Playoff Point to his total as he won Stage 2 of Saturday’s Indiana 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
This is Allgaier’s fifth Stage win of 2019.
Allgaier led the final eight laps of the Stage after Kyle Busch’s car went tight over the final stretch of the Stage.
Busch would hold on for second, while Tyler Reddick, Jeb Burton and Brandon Jones — who won Stage 1 — rounded out the top-five in Stage 2.
Christopher Bell rebounded from issues at the opening portion of the Stage when he made contact with Noah Gragson and Tyler Reddick to finish sixth.
Chase Briscoe and Cole Custer, who are Stewart-Haas Racing teammates came home seventh and eighth in the Stage.
Ryan Sieg, who went spinning at the end of Stage 1, came back to finish ninth in Stage 2.
Gragson was the final driver in the top-10 of Stage 2.
