Justin Allgaier has officially been cleared to return to the JR Motorsports No. 7 entry in Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway, according to a statement from JR Motorsports.

Following a wild last lap crash in Thursday’s Shady Rays 200 NXS race at Kentucky, Allgaier was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation for a, “non racing related,” medical condition.

The team announced that Allgaier was released from the hospital Friday morning, and was subject to a follow up evaluation to determine whether he would return to action on Friday night.

Allgaier is an 11-time winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and sits sixth in the 2020 driver standings after 14 starts this season.
