Jeffrey Earnhardt and Sam Hunt Racing will partner for an additional pair of NASCAR Xfinity Series events in the second half of the season, the organization confirmed on Monday.

The 35-year-old driver will pilot the No. 26 Toyota GR Supra in events at Michigan International Speedway (August 17) and the season-finale at Phoenix Raceway (November 9).

Synergy Modular, which joined Sam Hunt Racing earlier this season for a five-race primary sponsorship agreement, will be supporting the Mooresville, North Carolina native in his two-race schedule addition.

The company has served as the primary sponsor of the organization’s flagship No. 26 Toyota Supra in three events (Dover, Portland, and Sonoma) with three different drivers (Corey Heim, Sage Karam, and Ed Jones).

With the addition of Michigan and Phoenix, Earnhardt’s schedule with Sam Hunt Racing will grow from four to six events. Long-time partner ForeverLawn is still scheduled to partner with the driver-team combination at Daytona and Bristol.

In his return to Sam Hunt Racing earlier this year at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Earnhardt recorded an eighth-place finish. This season, the No. 26 team has recorded four top-10 finishes, including a pair of top-fives from NASCAR Truck Series regular Corey Heim at Richmond (fourth) and Iowa (third).

With the series returning to action after three weeks off for the Olympics, Sam Hunt Racing has its No. 26 entry sitting 18th in NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner Points.

Sage Karam, Corey Heim, John Hunter Nemechek, Dean Thompson, Ed Jones, Tyler Reddick, and Conor Daly have all taken turns behind the wheel of the entry this season, with Heim anchoring the effort at a nine-race schedule through the opening 20 events of 2024.
